Shopping for a used car can seem like a chore, but when you find the right dealership, shopping can be fun. At DePaula Chevrolet, we also make it easy. If you live near Albany, used cars can be found on countless dealership lots; however, those dealerships do not all offer the same level of service. Too often, dealerships use pricing to lure you in, only to tack on extra fees that raise the final price while they make up the paperwork. They trick buyers into purchasing vehicles that seem low in cost or talk you into buying a vehicle you don’t really want just for the sale. When you come to DePaula Chevrolet, we’ll treat you like royalty because you deserve a break from the exhausting sales tricks most other dealerships employ.
To make shopping easier, we offer our buyers the means to buy entirely online if you want, so you never need to leave the comfort of your home until you pick up your vehicle. If you prefer to visit our dealership to test drive and see the massive inventory we have in person, you can do that, too. Either way is fine with us because we’re here for you no matter how you want to buy your used car. All that matters is that you get the car you want for the price we promised. We value transparency, and you deserve to know exactly how much you will spend on a used vehicle, so there are no surprises when you sign the paperwork.
We value our customers at DePaula Chevrolet, and we know the reason we stay in business is because of our customer support. The way our customers feel when they come to our dealership is what keeps them coming back year after year. That’s why we train our sales staff to provide the best customer service through a certification process, so every customer gets a great experience every time you walk through the door.
We’re not new to sales or providing service; our dealership has been in business since 1985, and we know the value of giving our customers a transparent, service-oriented relationship that isn’t just about the sale. Read the thousands of reviews our customers have written about us to see what they have to say, or just come on down to the dealership to find out how we treat people who come to visit. Expect a great experience!

When you’re searching for a used car, you probably want to save money on the initial depreciation of a new vehicle. That’s a smart way to buy, and it’s better for the environment, too. Our used lot typically has dozens of cars for sale, representing all kinds of makes and models, so whatever you’re looking for, we probably have it, from high-performance sports cars to heavy-duty trucks. We sell both traditional used vehicles as well as high-value options via CarBravo, which come with warranties for added peace of mind.
You may wonder what the difference is between buying from our used lot and buying via CarBravo, so let's review. A model listed on CarBravo must be less than ten years old and have fewer than 100,000 miles on it. It also must pass a thorough multi-point inspection. It then undergoes reconditioning, including a check for any recalls, and is available with a complementary vehicle history report. With every CarBravo model, you get a limited bumper-to-bumper warranty of six months or 6,000 miles, as well as perks like roadside assistance and courtesy transportation.
Some models listed on CarBravo qualify instead as BravoBudget, being older than ten years but younger than fifteen, with more than 100,000 miles but fewer than 150,000 miles. These models get the same initial treatment and subsequent benefits, except their included coverage is instead a limited powertrain warranty of thirty days or 1,000 miles. Both classifications on CarBravo will cost slightly more than a traditional used car that is otherwise identical, given these perks; however, our usual pre-owned vehicles also receive multi-point inspections and have complementary vehicle history reports.

With each new year, certain car brands we know from experience are probably going to be around for a long time. We know the big producers aren’t going anywhere, but several producers from around the world are making a name for their own brands with a great deal of success.
Companies like Toyota and Honda have come a long way in the US, and most buyers are aware of the reliability of the vehicles these brands produce. Because so many people buy Toyota and Honda vehicles, you are likely to find them on almost any used car lot. They are excellent choices for brands to buy used, not just for reliability, but because they hold value and have excellent safety ratings, too. With hybrids being offered across both brand lineups, buyers may discover opportunities to purchase these fuel-saving vehicles used.
Brands like Kia and Nissan are now up and coming in much the same way Toyota and Honda once were. Kia offers a wide range of vehicles that are priced lower than more well-known brands, but they offer quality and reliability alongside the best brands out there. Both JD Power and Kelley Blue Book have given several awards to Kia overall as a brand.
Nissan also tends to be priced lower than other brands but is one of the most popular in the US with leading sales trends for several years and its own list of awards. The SUVs they produce are very popular, and all their vehicles come with a bevy of technology features, safety tech, and have great style. For several years the Nissan Leaf has been available as a fully electric model, and fortunate buyers may find one used if going green is your interest.
One more company from across the ocean has managed to become a heavy hitter in the automotive market: Subaru. Contending with winter weather will never be easier in a Subaru outfitted with its famous all-wheel drive. Subarus last a long time and can conquer anything Mother Nature throws at you.
Of course, we stand behind Chevy as a brand, especially for buying a used vehicle. With so many Chevys on the road, you will find lots of them on used lots, so you know you are likely to be able to find one when you shop. Few manufacturers have so many choices of vehicles, with SUVs in every price range and size, sedans from compact to full-size, and trucks from midsize to heavy-duty. Chevy has often received awards for its dependability as a brand, including consistent recognition from JD Power.
