  • Overview

The current generation of Corvette Stingray models continues to expand on the legacy of the popular sports car nameplate since 1953, introducing a number of new changes and updates for the 2025 Chevy Corvette Stingray. With the C8 generation, the Corvette has taken the supercar segment by storm because it not only brings a certain stylistic elegance to the table, but the prowess of its mid-engine design has made it more competitive in its segment against the likes of the Audi R8, BMW Z4, and Porsche 911 Carrera. Like previous model years, you can still get the 2025 Corvette Stingray in either a two-door coupe or convertible format.

When it comes to brand-new features for 2025, you have some interesting new colors and interior options to help bolster the appeal of the mid-engine supercar. This includes the return of the Sebring Orange Tintcoat Metallic, and the addition of the all new Competition Yellow Tintcoat Metallic and the Hysteria Purple Metallic. When it comes to customizing the interior of the Stingray, you now have the all-new blue stitching available for the black interior and all-new Habanero for those who want something spicy for their sports coupe. Additionally, the 2025 model year has added an all new optional Velocity Yellow for those who want to customize their brake calipers, and the leather steering wheel with an airbag cover has been made standard across the trim line for the Stingray.

One other noteworthy update for the 2025 model year is that the Z51 Performance Package has seen a slight update so that it's now equipped with a brand new spoiler design. So if you were planning on sprucing up your Corvette even more with the Z51 Performance Package, you have something new to look forward to. The 2025 Corvette Stingray is available in three different trim formats, including the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT.

  • Performance

    The Standard 6.2-Liter V8 Engine

The 2025 Stingray comes standard in rear-wheel drive and features a base 6.2-liter expertly tuned V8 that makes a standard 460 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. It comes with an 8-speed dual clutch transmission, and with the Z51 Performance Package equipped, it can achieve 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds flat. The Z51 upgrade features the Magnetic Selective Ride Control active damping system that monitors and adjusts the vehicle's suspension every 10-15 milliseconds. This provides you with precision traction control and stability management. So, as you go faster, the vehicle stays planted on the ground.

    Performance Features

There is also the availability of the performance exhaust, which helps boost the Stingray's 6.2-liter V8's horsepower and torque up to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. If you want to get the most out of the vehicle's on-road or on-track performance, the performance exhaust provides you with that extra boost. However, for those of you who want your Stingray to be more than just a garage queen or a test track terror, there are available features to help it perform better for daily driving, such as the front lift with memory, which can raise the front end by approximately 40 mm when traveling under 24 mph. It can store up to 1,000 GPS locations, so if you regularly travel into the city and over parking lot speed bumps, it can automatically adjust the vehicle's height to prevent the front end from scraping protrusions on the ground.

    Tire Options and Fuel Economy

The 19-inch wheels are also encased with standard Michelin Pilot Sport All Season performance run-flat tires. This makes it convenient to travel on paved roads as well as well kept asphalt tracks. However, if you really want to push the Stingray a bit more than what the stock tires allow, you can opt for the available Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high-performance run-flat summer-only tires, which are better for those who plan on putting the pedal to the metal often. You also have a maximum fuel economy of 15 MPG in the city and up to 27 MPG on the highway.

  • Design

The design of the Corvette has always stood out since its debut with the C1 generation in 1953. However, the recent C8 generation took the design philosophy in a whole new direction, evolving the exterior language to match the under-the-hood performance overhaul. The lines are aerodynamically aggressive but not overdone. The hood also retains the sloped curvature that many Corvettes have become known for in recent generations while still being distinctly modern. You even have the very menacing front LED headlights that point toward the Corvette logo in the center of the hood.

A Sharp Exterior With a Variety of Color Options

The lower front fascia combines working side inlets with a front splitter that houses a uniquely shaped black grille design. Jet-inspired scoops along the side profile of the Stingray are accentuated by the sharp rear fenders that lead into the rear fascia. You have the convertible or hard-top coupe design that retains the aerodynamic silhouette no matter which one you go with, but you will have to pay slightly more for the convertible if that's what you prefer. You also have an impressive selection of exterior colors, including the basics like Arctic White, Black, Torch Red, Silver Flare Metallic, Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic, Hypersonic Gray Metallic, and Rapid Blue. However, if you want something a little more stunning, you have Riptide Blue Metallic, Carbon Flash Metallic, Cacti Green, Yellow Tintcoat Metallic, Sebring Orange Tintcoat, Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat, and Hysteria Purple Metallic.

    More Exterior Customization Options

If you opt for the coupe, you can choose a number of unique roof panels and designs, including transparent, carbon-fiber, dual roof carbon fiber, or body-color dual roof panels. A number of exterior decals and vinyls are also available for those who want to personalize the exterior of the vehicle. And if you're feeling adventurous, there are nine different wheel options to choose from, including five-spoke, 15-spoke, and 20-spoke wheel designs of the 19-inch variety. You have Silver-painted aluminum wheels, Carbon-Flash painted aluminum wheels, Satin Graphite wheels with machined edged aluminum, Sterling Silver-painted machined-face forged aluminum, Gloss Black, Tech Bronze, Midnight Gray with Red Stripes, bright polished aluminum wheels, and bright machined-faced forged aluminum wheels.

There's Also an Abundance of Interior Options

Inside, you have a number of different materials to choose from for the cabin. This includes 21 different interior colors and material designs that include full-color layouts and two-tone layouts. You can get the Stingray with Nappa leather upholstery with perforated inserts, or you can have it configured with a Napa leather seating surface featuring perforated suede microfiber inserts. This further helps define the 2025 Stingray according to your preferences as a driver.

  • Convenience

Accompanying the performance and design capabilities of the 2025 Corvette Stingray is a nice helping of convenience features. There are eight-way power driver and passenger seats with lumbar support, and both seats feature heated and ventilated functionality. You have a heated custom leather steering wheel, but you can upgrade it to a suede microfiber-wrapped steering wheel. GT1 bucket seats come standard on the 1LT and 2LT, while GT2 bucket seats are standard on the 3LT, but competition sport bucket seats are also available.

    Interior Features

Power windows and locks, as well as a rear camera mirror, come standard, while you have a Bose Premium 10-speaker system for the 1LT and a Bose Performance Series surround sound audio system featuring 14 speakers for the 2LT and 3LT. There is a digital driver display with customizable profiles and telemetry, which is separate from the 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Bluetooth wireless connectivity, apps, media access, and even the availability of the performance data and video recorder add to the tech convenience so you can get feedback on your on-track performance and vehicle health.

    Safety

You even have a bit of storage with the 13 cu.ft. of space and the complete suite of the Chevy Safety Assist, featuring Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Front Pedestrian Braking. Added standard safety features across the trim line include a Side Blind Zone Alert, Forward Collision Alert, and a Following Distance Indicator. The HD front and rear vision cameras also make it easy to spot what's in front or behind the vehicle no matter the time of day or lighting conditions and they work in conjunction with the Rear Park Assist system to ensure you don't have any accidents when reversing.
