All of these engines are available with either a manual or automatic transmission, so you can choose the kind of driving experience and the level of control that you prefer.

A sports car with a weak and uninspired engine is a terrible thing; fortunately, Chevy understands this and has given the Camaro numerous options designed to deliver fantastic overall performance. Some of these engines are restricted by trim level, so keep that in mind when considering your options and look at what is available for each before choosing the model that is right for you.

  The Turbocharged 2.0L and 3.6L V6 Engines

  With the starting 1LS trim, you get the standard engine for the Camaro: a 2.0L Turbo I-4 that delivers 275 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which comes paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic with paddle shifters inside. All Camaro models feature rear-wheel drive, which is to be expected from a performance vehicle like this. If you choose one of the LT trims (there are three of them), then you can pick either the standard engine or an available 3.6L V6 engine that delivers 335 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque. This V6, and the rest of the engine options we will look at, is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic for a smooth driving experience.

  The 6.2L V8 and Supercharged 6.2L V8 Engines

  If you are looking for even beefier performance, an available 6.2L V8 engine is offered on higher trims, which delivers 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. For most people, this is plenty of power to put a smile on your face and ensure you are the envy of everyone else you roll up next to at a red light. For those few who need something even greater, there is the ZL1 trim that comes with an exclusive 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, which delivers 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.   One of the things we love about the 2023 Camaro is just how many options you have to customize it and make it your own. Not only are there numerous trim levels available—including the standard 1LS, three different LT models, and more—but you also have a variety of packages and special editions available. This means you can choose the trim you like, pick the available engine and transmission you prefer, and still have more options to customize your Camaro and have it truly be yours.

  Available Packages

  For starters, six different packages are available for you to choose from, though they each have certain trims they are meant for. If you need the incredible power of the ZL1 trim and its supercharged V8 engine, then you might like the ZL1 1LE package. It includes 19-inch low-gloss Black-painted forged-aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle SuperCar G:2 staggered summer-only tires, Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear Red-painted brake calipers, and a Satin Black hood wrap. On the other hand, if you prefer an LT trim or the LT1, then there is the RS package with a polished Black grille featuring Galvano chrome lower inserts, Black front and rear bowtie emblems, and a decklid-mounted lip spoiler.

  Special Editions

  In addition to these packages, you can choose from two stunning special editions to make the Camaro pop. The Shock and Steel Special Edition features 20-inch blade-design aluminum wheels, a Carbon Flash Metallic stripe with either Shock or Silver accents, Brembo four-piston performance Yellow-painted brake calipers, and a body-color high-wing spoiler with a stripe on coupe models. Going with the available Redline Edition will get you 20-inch Black-painted wheels with Red accents, a Black Camaro fender badge with a Red outline, Redline Edition graphics, and a Jet Black interior with Red seat belts. No matter what style you want for your Camaro, there is a combination of features and options out there that will meet your needs.

  Not only is the Chevy Camaro one of the most powerful and impressive sports cars on the road, but it also has a wide range of advanced technology and comfort features inside for you to enjoy.

  Standard Features

  What you find will depend on the trim level and options you pick, but the standard 1LS model includes a 7.0-inch infotainment display, a six-speaker sound system, and a personalized Driver Information Center. Standard features also include an eight-way power driver’s seat, a four-way adjustable front-passenger seat, single-zone automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. You get keyless open and start, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and a leather-wrapped shift knob, all included as standard features.

  Available Features

  If you move up to something like the 3LT trim, you will find several impressive upgrades to make your driving experience even more enjoyable. For starters, the 3LT features an 8-inch infotainment display, a Bose premium sound system (it has nine speakers in coupe models and seven speakers in convertibles), and a reconfigurable 8-inch Driver Information Center.

  You get a wireless charging pad in the 3LT model, with a head-up display that projects information onto the windshield for you, plus dual-zone automatic climate control to keep you and your passengers comfortable. The 3LT features a six-way power front-passenger seat, with heated and ventilated front seats, illuminated sill plates for added ambiance, a heated steering wheel, and interior spectrum lighting with 24 different colors that you can choose from.
