For drivers just looking for something to get them from one place to another, there are plenty of options out there to choose from. But if you are looking for an electric vehicle (EV) that you will love driving each day, with a spacious interior that gives you plenty of room for everything you need to take with you, then your options are more limited. You still have some options, however, so it helps to take some time to compare them and see how they stack up. If you are interested in a midsize EV SUV, for example, then you should consider the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV vs 2025 Honda Prologue to figure out which of these popular options will best meet your needs.

There are a number of different factors for you to consider when looking at these two vehicles, though their all-electric powertrains are among the most important. What’s interesting here is that the platform of the Honda Prologue, including its battery and motor options, has been sourced from General Motors (GM) and is actually identical to what you can get with the Blazer EV. This is great for Honda fans since GM’s Ultium battery platform is one of the most advanced and impressive in the auto industry. That being said, there are more options available with the Blazer EV beyond the standard battery, giving you enhanced performance and range if you are looking for something to surpass what GM has shared with Honda.

The result is that you can choose from four different total battery configuration options across three trim levels for the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV, whereas Honda only offers two options available for the three-trim Prologue. When you look inside these two models, you will quickly discover that Chevy gives you a lot more to enjoy, both in terms of standard and available options. You get more cargo space inside the Blazer EV compared to the Prologue, letting you more easily take stuff with you, and both models are midsize SUVs with two rows of seating for five passengers. Once you notice the stunning 17.7-inch infotainment display in the Blazer EV and compare it to the 11.3-inch screen in the Prologue, the differences become impossible to ignore. The Prologue is a fine vehicle, but you get a lot more with the Chevy Blazer EV.

Electrified Power and Performance

Looking at performance with these two SUVs is interesting because, as we mentioned, they have a lot in common—not just similar, but identical. The 2025 Chevy Blazer EV uses GM’s Ultium battery platform, of course, but Honda has partnered with GM to utilize this same platform for the Prologue; this decision helped Honda get this SUV onto the market much faster than waiting on development of their own battery and motor system. The result is that you can get the same kind of power and performance from these two vehicles if you choose the standard Blazer EV LT model. But there are two more Blazer EV trims available that can take performance to a higher level and give you a very different driving experience.

To start with, the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV has a standard 85 kWh battery that is available with either a single motor up front for front-wheel drive (FWD) or a pair of motors to give you all-wheel drive (AWD) performance. If you go with the single-motor option, then you get to enjoy 220 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, which feels great in a midsize SUV like this. For enhanced performance, the dual-motor setup delivers 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque with the 85 kWh battery to create an incredible driving experience. Both of these options are available for the 2025 Honda Prologue, but they are the only two choices—Chevy offers you two more.

If you are looking for something with greater performance and more overall driving range (more on that in a moment), then you can choose a 102 kWh battery with a single motor for the RS trim. This model has the motor on the back wheels for rear-wheel drive (RWD) rather than standard FWD, providing an impressive 365 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. For the most exceptional driving experience available, however, you need to check out the Blazer EV SS that pairs this 102 kWh battery with a pair of motors, delivering an amazing 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. We admit this is a lot more power than most drivers need, but if you want to feel the full power of all-electric performance and near-instant torque, then the Blazer EV SS is perfect for you.

Range and Charging Options

Performance is important, of course, but it is just as important that you get a vehicle you enjoy driving and that it can get you where you need to go each day. Fortunately, Chevy understands this well, and GM has developed its Ultium battery platform with excellent range and easy charging in mind. This is one of the many reasons Honda chose to partner with them in developing the Prologue and the results speak for themselves. Of course, since the Blazer EV has more battery and motor options than the Prologue, you get more range options, including one that far surpasses what Honda’s EV SUV can deliver.

Looking at the 2025 Honda Prologue, with its 85 kWh battery and a single-motor configuration with FWD, it gets an estimated 308 miles of driving range from a full charge. Going with a dual-motor setup for enhanced performance lowers that slightly to 294 miles from a full charge, but you can see this difference is pretty minimal. Numbers from Chevy for the Blazer EV are quite similar, which is no surprise since it utilizes the same battery and motor options. With a single-motor FWD Blazer EV, you can go an estimated 312 miles from a full charge, which is slightly better than the best the Honda Prologue can do. Choosing a dual-motor setup and the standard 85 kWh battery cuts the Blazer EV’s range slightly to 283 miles, but it can still go the distance.

Just like its performance, range with the Blazer EV benefits from the added option of a 102 kWh battery for the RS and SS trim levels. In particular, the RS with its single-motor RWD setup gets an estimated 334 miles of range from a full charge, which is significantly more than the best Honda offers with the Prologue. Even with its incredible power, the Blazer EV SS still gets an estimated 303 miles of total range, showcasing how impressive this upgraded battery is. As you might imagine, charging is easy and convenient with both of these vehicles since they support numerous options, including Level 2 charging at home with a charger you can have installed. You can also take advantage of public DC Fast Charging stations; the Blazer EV can utilize more than 250,000 public charging stations across North America, including more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers.

Interior Tech Features

When looking at what a vehicle offers, it is vital that you pay close attention to its interior features and options. Things like advanced technology can sometimes feel like a frivolous luxury, but they can greatly improve your time on the road each day. We hear from customers all the time that their biggest regret with their previous car was passing on some comfort or convenience features that they wish they had picked. These things matter, which Chevy clearly understands based on the kinds of impressive interior features you get with the 2025 Blazer EV.

Looking at the standard LT model, you will find incredible interior features, starting with a stunning 17.7-inch advanced color LCD infotainment display with Google built-in. This is paired with an 11-inch Driver Information Center screen that you can customize with five different visual themes and other settings to perfectly meet your needs. A six-speaker sound system is standard in the Blazer EV, along with six-way adjustable front seats, Keyless Open, Remote Start with smartphone app functionality, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Available options for the Blazer EV include heated and ventilated front seats, a head-up display that projects information onto the windshield, and even GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system.

Although Honda delivers great performance with the Prologue, the interior falls short compared to what Chevy provides. Inside the standard EX trim, we find an 11.3-inch infotainment display, which is fine but is truly dwarfed by the screen in the Blazer EV. A six-speaker sound system is standard, along with an 11-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, which is also good. Ultimately, however, the Prologue cannot keep up with features like the Super Cruise system that GM has developed, so the technology you get with the Blazer EV provides you with a superior driving experience that enhances your time on the road each day.
