Although there are a lot of compact SUVs out there, finding all of this in one model can be tricky, especially if you start getting overwhelmed by how many options there are to choose from. That is why we find it best to focus on just one or two models at a time; for example, if you consider the 2025 Chevy Equinox vs 2025 Nissan Rogue, it becomes easier to see which one is right for you. Although the Nissan Rogue is a fine vehicle, the Equinox has it beat in a number of ways, including its standard tech features and overall value.
Comparing these two vehicles is pretty easy since they have a lot in common: both have a single engine available, are offered with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and have impressive fuel efficiency. As you start looking closer at them, however, you can start to see all of the ways that Chevy's engineers and designers have created a better option for many drivers. Looking inside the starting Equinox model, for example, you will find an 11-inch color Driver Information Center display paired with an 11.3-inch infotainment screen with Google built-in, ensuring every model has impressive tech for you to enjoy. Combined with a standard six-speaker sound system and more great features, the Equinox is incredibly fun to drive each day—plus more great options are available.
Inside the Nissan Rogue, however, tech features are not nearly as impressive, particularly when looking at what comes standard. Smaller displays are standard in the Rogue, with just an eight-inch infotainment screen in the starting model, along with a four-speaker sound system that leaves a lot to be desired. While fuel efficiency with the Rogue is impressive, if you are looking to leave the gas pump behind completely, then the Equinox EV is an all-electric option that can take your daily drive even further. No matter what you are looking for in your next compact SUV, Chevy has you covered with an Equinox model that you will love driving every day for many years to come.

For starters, there is a beautiful 11-inch color Driver Information Center display that is reconfigurable with numerous themes you can set to match your preferences. This is joined by a gorgeous 11.3-inch advanced color LCD infotainment screen with Google built-in and navigation capability included. You get a standard six-speaker sound system in the Equinox, along with a six-way driver's seat, heated front seating, and a heated and wrapped steering wheel. Keyless Open and Start with Remote Start functionality are all standard, plus even the starting trim can be upgraded with a rear camera mirror, an eight-way power driver's seat, and more enhancements if you want them.
We do not have to tell you that life seems to be getting more expensive with each passing year and simply surviving can seem like an uphill battle sometimes. Looking at the 2025 Chevy Equinox, it starts at just $28,600, which is incredibly reasonable for everything it delivers.[a] By comparison, the Nissan Rogue starts at $29,230, a difference of well over $600. That might not seem like a huge amount in the grand scheme of things, but when you are shopping for a vehicle, every dollar adds up. Even more importantly, you can see these differences continue as you look at different trim levels and options; the high-end RS and ACTIV trims for the Equinox start at $33,000 compared to the highest Rogue model that surpasses $39,000.[a] This keeps the Equinox in the perfect position as you shop.
One thing worth noting with the Chevy Equinox, which you will not find on many similar models out there, is that you can choose an all-electric option in the Equinox EV. While we know that not everyone is ready to go electric yet, if that is something you are interested in, then the Equinox EV is an amazing choice. You can choose from two different power options for the Equinox EV—either a single or pair of motors—and get up to 319 miles of range from a full charge with select models. Combine that with amazing features like the massive 17-inch infotainment display inside and a starting price of just $33,600 MSRP, and you can see that the Equinox EV is an amazing way to leave the gas pump behind.[a]
By comparison, there is no all-electric version of the Nissan Rogue available, so you are out of luck there. To be fair, Nissan does have an all-electric compact SUV called the ARIYA, making it a good comparison point if you are interested in this type of vehicle. The ARIYA starts at a much higher price of $39,770; while it has two batteries and two different motor configurations available, the best range the ARIYA can manage is an estimated 289 miles from a full charge. That is still quite good but it falls behind the Equinox EV at a higher price, which shows us once again how well Chevy understands what drivers need.
As you can see, once you start checking out everything the 2025 Chevy Equinox brings to the road, it is easy to understand why so many people love this compact SUV. The Nissan Rogue is a fine vehicle in its own right, but it simply cannot match many of the most impressive features and options available for the Equinox.
