Chevy keeps it simple with the Impala's trims, offering just two. The base LT starts at an MSRP of $31,620 and includes a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that's paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. On the inside, Chevy has equipped the Impala LT with a 4.2-inch color driver information center that includes fuel range, trip odometer, and standard vehicle diagnostic information. A 6-speaker, 100-watt audio system is also standard.
Comfort features abound on the LT, including a standard 8-way power driver's seat. Bluetooth is also standard, along with a handy USB charging port in the console. An 8-inch infotainment touchscreen is featured prominently on the dash and provides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Dual-zone automatic climate control keeps everyone comfortable, and the available heated front seats and steering wheel keep the chill out during those cold winter days.
The Impala Premier
The high-end Impala Premier starts at $37,595 and kicks the luxury features up a notch. An 8-way power passenger seat is standard on the Premier, along with heated seats in the front and a heated steering wheel. An upgraded 11-speaker Bose Centerpoint premium audio system is included and provides concert-grade sound. Navigation is added to the 8-inch touchscreen's list of functions, and a wireless smartphone charger is standard.
The Premier offers perforated leather seating and the option of adding ventilated front seats for added comfort during warmer weather. Several driver-assist systems are standard, including lane change alert with side blind zone alert, a rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist. All of these features use an audible alert to notify the driver when there is potential for a collision or when it detects unsafe driving or lane drifting.
Plenty of Space
Both the LT and Premier trims offer plenty of comfort and space for five passengers. Front headroom measures 39.9 inches, and front legroom is 45.8 inches. Rear seat passengers will enjoy 37.4-inches of headroom and 39.8-inches of legroom. The trunk offers 18.8 cubic feet of cargo space, plenty for a load of groceries or luggage for a long weekend road trip. Overall, the Impala is an extremely comfortable vehicle for both driver and passengers.
