    2020 Chevy Equinox Engines

As we briefly mentioned before, the 2020 Chevy Equinox can be equipped with one of two engines. The first is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder motor that generates 170 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque. Mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain has a fuel economy set at 28 mpg combined (26 city/31 highway). The other choice is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission with Tow/Haul mode, it can pull up to 3,500 pounds without breaking a sweat. Each model comes standard with FWD, but you can upgrade to AWD on any of the trims except the base.

    2020 RAV4 Engine

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 203 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, it gets about 31 mpg combined (28 city/35 highway). FWD is standard on all trims except for the Adventure and the TRD Off-Road models. Of course, AWD can be added to any trim if you want that kind of capability.

Interior Features on the Chevy Equinox

With four trims to choose from, you can find a Chevy Equinox that is perfectly suited to your lifestyle. The base is known as the L, and it comes well-equipped. Featuring keyless entry/ignition, the driver’s seat is height-adjustable for comfort. The infotainment interface is displayed on a 7-inch touchscreen that operates with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling. This system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless audio integration. You can listen to your favorite songs through the 6-speaker stereo with no trouble at all. This model also comes with a 4G LTE Wifi hotspot to keep you connected everywhere you go.

    Some Standard Safety Features

Standard safety features at this level include automatic high-beams, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, emergency braking, lane departure warning, and a rearview camera. The next feature is perfect if you have a teenage driver in the family. This model features Teen Driver technology, which provides you with a report card showing how well your kid has been performing behind the wheel. It also disables the stereo if the seat belt has not been fastened.

Luxury Comfort and Convenience Features on the Equinox

Stepping up to the LT model will get you a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a release lever on the rear seats. It also comes with satellite radio for a wider range of music options. A power liftgate, heated front seats, and blindspot monitoring have also been added for comfort and safety. Finally, the top-tier Premier trim includes luxury features such as heated leather seats and a hands-free power liftgate. It also comes with a wireless charging pad to quickly charge your mobile device. Additional options include a 360-degree parking camera system and a premium Bose stereo system.

Interior Features on the Toyota RAV4

On the other hand, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 is available in six trims. The first is called the LE, and it comes with an infotainment system that is displayed on a 7-inch touchscreen. Compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, this system is on-par with the Equinox. It also features Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 has been added to include road sign assist, lane tracing assist, pre-collision warning, emergency braking, cruise control, lane-departure alert, and automatic high beams.

    Convenience Features

Next is the XLE version, which adds numerous tech upgrades, including push-button start, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Dual USB ports are also provided for charging more than one mobile device at a time. Blindspot monitoring is included at this level, as well.

Stepping up to the XLE Premium will get you cabin updates such as SofTex simulated leather upholstery and soft-touch dash inserts for a sophisticated look. A sunroof and a power liftgate have also bee added to this model. The fourth trim puts you into the more rugged territory. This one is known as the Adventure model, and it comes with an upgraded infotainment interface with an 8-inch touchscreen. However, the drawback is that it removes the sunroof and power liftgate from the XLE Premium model. If you want even more off-roading capabilities, you should opt for the TRD Off-Road version. It is more finely tuned to handle rough terrain, plus it gets the sunroof back.

Top of the Line Features on the RAV4

Lastly, the top-of-the-line Limited includes luxurious features such as heated front seats and a virtual rearview mirror. It also sees an update to the infotainment system with the addition of navigation and a larger 8-inch touchscreen display. The outside of these two vehicles varies depending on the trim. However, the Equinox has several exterior features that carry over to the higher trims. That’s because the base is well-equipped with LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, and heated exterior side mirrors. The LS model can be equipped with the Convenience package that adds rear privacy glass to prevent passersby from peeking inside.

As for the RAV4, its base model has LED headlights, and that’s about it. You won’t really see many notable exterior features until you get up to the Adventure level. This model comes with taller roof rails, larger tires, and fender flares. The TRD Off-Road version comes with all-terrain tires, a different suspension, and black exterior trim for a more aggressive look.

    Exterior of the RAV4

The Toyota RAV4 comes in 14 color options, and some of those are two-toned. Let’s go over the monotone shades first. There are nine to choose from, including Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Lunar Rock, Silver Sky Metallic, Blizzard Pearl, Super White, Ruby Flare Pearl, Blueprint, and Blue Flame. Please note that the pearlized colors may cost extra. As for the two-toned shades, the second color is on the roof.

There are eight color combinations for you to select from. You can opt for an Ice Edge roof with the colors Magnetic Gray Metallic, Lunar Rock, Midnight Black Metallic, and Blue Flame. The Ice Edge roof is an off-white shade that adds a bit of enhancement to the RAV4. For a darker aesthetic, you can add a Midnight Black Metallic roof to the Blizzard Pearl, Silver Sky Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, and Blueprint colors. These blackened color palettes hide dirt well and give off mysterious vibes.
