It was the start of the third generation and offered a leaner external profile with updated style cues that gave it a modern and sophisticated appearance. And while some might have balked at the smaller overall size of the Equinox compared to its competition, it provided drivers with a smooth ride and improved maneuverability.

The 2018 Equinox’s engine lineup included a variety of choices, from a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that focused on fuel efficiency to a more powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. 2019 Chevy Equinox

New additions included things like automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. While the 2021 year held high hopes for a refreshed exterior, the pandemic put things back a year. The result was a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox that looked much like the 2020 Equinox. However, you will notice that the previous 2.0L turbo engine was dropped for the 2021 year, leaving the turbocharged 1.5L the engine of choice. Worth noting is the fuel efficiency of this engine while you’re shopping for the right SUV for you, allowing you to enjoy a combined 30 MPG. Beyond that, the Equinox continued to provide plenty of leg and headroom for all passengers and easy-to-access cargo space. Additionally, comfort and convenience remained a key focus with thoughtfully placed beverage holders, USB ports, and continued connection to your favorite apps.

2022 Chevy Equinox

Moving into the 2022 model year, the Chevrolet Equinox was at the top of the class, thrilling everyday drivers with its long list of driver-assisted features, along with a comfortable ride. Plus, the 2022 model year brought a refreshed front end with a new grille design and updated headlights. Additionally, the new RS model offered a sporty option with blacked-out trim and 19-inch wheels. On the inside, the RS offered a unique shifting knob and red stitching on the black upholstery. Regarding comfort and functionality, the 2022 Equinox continued to offer plenty of both, with easy access to the back seat and cargo space, plus the space that you need whether you’re trying to give the kids their own room or taking a group of friends out to eat.

2023 Chevy Equinox

When the Equinox hit dealership lots for the 2023 model year, the changes were more about cosmetics than anything. This makes sense as the 2022 model remained near the top of the list in its class, providing drivers with everything they wanted and more. However, Chevrolet did make changes that you will notice as you look through our lot. For instance, the 2023 model year is the first to offer exterior paint options like Radiant Red Tintcoat, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Harvest Bronze Metallic.

Additionally, the Midnight Edition and Sport Edition were introduced for the LS trim level. While each had been offered before, they were dropped in the 2022 model year. Both editions offer features such as 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, front and rear black bow-tie emblems, body-color mirror caps, and more. Like before, the main difference between the two was that the Midnight Edition was only offered in Mosaic Black Metallic paint, while the Sport Edition was offered across all color options.

2024 Chevy Equinox

For the 2024 model year, one of the most significant changes was the addition of the electric version, offering Equinox drivers the changes to boost their driving range and reduce their carbon footprint. Additionally, two more exterior colors were added to the fold—Riptide Blue and Lakeshore Blue. Finally, the Driver Confidence II package added Blind-Spot monitoring and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert.
