Try not to drool as the camera’s lights flash against the bold new look of the 2025 Chevy Equinox. Chevy has been in the automotive industry for decades and was one of the first brands to deliver excellence to drivers everywhere. Now, utilizing its trusted family-oriented SUV, the 2025 Chevy Equinox is developing new standards for the industry and creating a new definition for standard technology and safety – and if you can imagine the high standards they held for the previous models, just imagine what the 2025 model has in store. The 2025 Equinox is here to impress with powerful performance, new features, and a new standard.

What’s New?

As 2025 brings about Equinox’s new generation, we have a few things to look forward to as this Chevy SUV experiences some personal growth and development. This SUV is getting a facelift, but you know what they say: beauty lies inside and out. Both the interior and exterior will look fresh and new, not to mention its larger infotainment screen, as well as some extra inches that will allow you to sit higher for added conveniences. Along with appearance changes, you’ll find some technology and safety advancements that will be able to keep drivers and passengers informed, entertained, connected, and protected.

New Year, New Look

There is nothing better than getting a new look to shake things up. This purposeful alteration for the new generation of Equinox is able to allow drivers to sit higher, which offers better visibility. It even gives this SUV a bold new look with a new grille, aluminum wheels (your choice of size that ranges between 17-20 inches), black emblems, black mirrors, available black roof, and more that allows it to stand out on the streets and turn heads when it’s zooming past. The all-LED lighting features will be perfect for nighttime drives or rainy day driving for added visibility and confidence.

Of course, this means the interior also gets a makeover. The inside definitely feels futuristic, with top-notch technology and a spacious ambiance. Perhaps the main highlight of the interior goes to the infotainment and touchscreen displays, as the touchscreen display is larger than ever at 11.3 inches. You can easily switch on your favorite playlist or podcast and listen through a six-speaker audio system for quality sound.

Don’t forget to check under your seats because there is hidden storage and 60/40 folding second-row seats that allow for more space and more cargo hold room for up to 63.5 cu. ft. On those cold days, you’ll be glad that the heated front seats and steering wheel take away the chill. Check out premium quality Evotex seating on certain trims when you’re looking to test drive. With so much to love about this interior and exterior, you’ll know the 2025 Equinox is made with you in mind.

Advanced Safety

You should know by now that Chevy’s standard for safety has always been (and will continue to be) a top priority. However, now more than ever Chevy has increased the standards for protection on the road. The Chevy Safety Assist has always been standard, and that includes the features to help guide drivers, like Automatic Emergency Braking, a Following Distance Indicator, IntelliBeam lights, Forward Collision Alerts, etc. However, now the additional standard features will include Side Bicyclist Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, a Rear Vision Camera, and more like a Rear Seat Reminder, Adaptive Cruise Control, and so much more to help you along the way. When it comes to your protection, Chevy works to provide you with quality and advanced features that go hand-in-hand with technology advancements to keep you safe on and off the road.

Trim Options

The 2025 revised lineup features a more simplistic option for trim levels; whereas in the past, there were four choices, there are now three, with the previous second-highest trim option now being the standard or base model. The LS trim will not be reappearing for the 2025 year model, and the Premier is now replaced with a new trim option: the ACTIV. The LT will highlight all standard options, while the RS will feature the available two-toned black roof, 19-20-inch wheels, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The ACTIV will sport cloth seating, the 11.3 inch touchscreen, and familiar features you can find on lesser trim options.

Powerful Performance

What may be on everyone’s mind is: Okay, there are changes, but what about its performance? To this, we ask you: If it isn’t broken, why fix it? One of the best things about the Equinox is its powerful 1.5L turbocharged I-4, which gives drivers 175 hp and 184-203 lb-ft of torque. It offers great fuel economy and towing capabilities, so there is no reason for Chevy to alter this high-performing engine yet for the main purpose of this vehicle – to be high-functioning for families. However, the 2025 model does sport a new transmission, as the previous models for a few years have had the 6-speed automatic. The new model will feature the choice of a continuously variable transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission, which has a better feel for the road and provides a smooth handling experience.

Towing is a useful skill in a car—any car, for that matter. However, it can be difficult when you don’t have an adequate capacity for hauling large objects. The 2025 Equinox does not change in terms of recent previous models as it still has a max towing capability of 1,500 lbs, which is nothing to snooze on. We know this is supposed to be about new standards, but this towing capability has long since been a functional tool for the family SUV. Think about it: 1,500 lbs! That is enough to take sporting gear like bikes, jet skis, canoes, snowmobiles, small trailers, and some other vehicles – perfect for the drivers and passengers who are looking to get out on the weekends or do some traveling while being able to take their gear along the way.

How Is the Equinox Setting New Standards?

It may not seem like it, but every year, when a new car is released within the same lineup (and this is with most brands), there are no actual significant alterations or changes. Sure, you may see some interior changes or trim level differences; however, a new generation is where you’ll find newer features or advanced technology alterations. This is because most of the time, when cars undergo major changes, it is because they are entering a new generation, which means there is more to love. The 2025 SUV is the very beginning of Equinox’s fourth generation. So, it is no surprise that we are seeing new standards for the Chevy brand. These changes will vary every generation with every type and brand of car, though the minds at Chevy are re-working what we know to be safe, entertaining, and convenient. The 2025 year will be a bright one for the automotive industry as Chevy leads the way.
