Live and Let’s Lease

Many times car shoppers visit a dealership convinced that they are going to purchase their new vehicle that day – and they become incredibly stressed trying to find the right sedan, SUV or truck that makes sense for them not just at the present moment but also for what they anticipate their life will look like the far-off future.  Although in reality, we all know that the future can be extremely unpredictable, it doesn’t stop buyers from trying to anticipate what their needs and wants will be. However, while it makes sense to try to plan for the long-term when you are making such a large investment, there is another option that we find suits many of shoppers much better than buying does, and that’s choosing to forgo actually purchasing a car and instead opting into a Chevy lease.

Leasing Gives you Flexibility & Room to Grow

Why does leasing make so much more sense for so many buyers? Well, there are many reasons, but the first and probably the most important is that leasing gives you an enormous degree of flexibility – which means that no matter what twists and turns your life takes, you’ll be able to meet those changes in an appropriate vehicle. Maybe right now you are looking to buy a car that suits your single lifestyle – you don’t need a huge SUV with room for three kids, a dog and plenty of room for groceries and luggage. However, you may find that a few years into owning your sexy two-seater Corvette convertible, life has shifted and you’re suddenly stuck with a car that can’t accommodate your growing crew. The beauty of leasing is that you won’t have to spend any time trying to sell your old car in order to afford a new, roomier model. You can simply return the car at the end of your lease and find a different model that will meet your new needs – think something more along the lines of the Equinox or the Traverse… or if you’re really thinking of growing your family, the Suburban. Most lease terms are between 24-36 months, so enough time for some major changes, but not enough time to ever feel “stuck” with your vehicle.

Leasing Lets You Grow as a Person

Of course, there are other changes that happen in a person’s life that can affect their choice of car aside from just having kids. Perhaps you pick up a new hobby – one that requires you to be able to tow and haul some heavy machinery, like a snowmobile or a jetski. While the Chevy Spark sure is a cute little city car, it’s also about the size of a jetski and therefore will do you no good when it’s time to head to the coast. You may find yourself considering something will a little more muscle to it, maybe something like the Chevy Silverado, which can tow up to 12,500 pounds without breaking a sweat.

On that note, you also don’t want to forget that bigger isn’t always better. If your job takes you from living out in the rural countryside to suddenly commuting into a major city every day, you may find that you’re ready to downsize from your Tahoe to a more city, commuter and wallet-friendly Chevy Volt or Bolt – two nippy little electric vehicles that really pack a punch. The point is, no matter what changes your life takes, a Chevy lease deal allows you to take full advantage of all of the fantastic vehicles in the Chevy family.

Leasing Will Save you Money & Maintenance

So we’ve pretty much covered that the best part of leasing a car is the enormous degree of flexibility you’ll have, but you’d be mistaken if you think there aren’t other major benefits to leasing rather than owning. For one thing, leasing a can be more economical – and who doesn’t like saving money? Of course, there is the caveat here that if you buy, one day you won’t have a car payment anymore… and while that is true, you will still have to worry about repairs and maintenance that may not be covered under either the factory or the dealership warranty any longer. That’s a lot of dough that could be coming straight out of your pocket – even without a car payment.

Leasing a car usually doesn’t require a hefty down payment (in fact, it may not require a down payment at all) and your monthly payment will be lower than if you flat-out purchase a vehicle. Additionally, you can rest assured that your lease will remain covered under both the factory and the dealership warranty for the lifetime of the lease agreement – after all, like we mentioned before, most leases are only two-to-three year deals.  You’ll also save moolah when it comes time to pay the sales tax. You’d be surprised at how quickly all of those little savings combined add up to big bucks saved when you choose to lease rather than buy your Chevy vehicle.

Leasing Lets You Live Large

If having flexibility and the freedom to change your car whenever necessary isn’t important to you, and you aren’t concerned about saving money either, there is still one really great reason you should opt for a lease: you’ll probably wind up driving a nicer car than you would otherwise be able to afford.

When you forego purchasing, you can easily lease not just a newer – but also a more luxurious – car. You can enjoy the newest technology paired with creature comforts such as heated leather seats, all for substantially less than what you would have to spend to outright purchase such a top-of-the-line vehicle. Best of all, before that technology is even slightly outdated, you’ll be sliding right into the driver’s seat of yet another brand new, leased vehicle.

Give a Chevy Lease a Shot

Some people still find the idea of driving a car they don’t technically own a bit strange, but when you weight all of the pros and cons between leasing and buying, it’s clear that for many people leasing is the better way to go. Why not head down to your local Chevy dealership and check out the Chevy lease specials they have going on right now? After all, the very worst thing that could happen is that you spend 36 months driving an affordable and gorgeous car.
